Prayer Meeting was canceled tonight because we are in the middle of a Nor'eastern storm. The wind is blowing in from the northeast which is over the ocean and bringing a lot of rain with it. Then during high tide there is a lot of flooding. Decided it was best to stay at home out of this mess. It's suppose to be worse tomorrow yet and then move out sometime on Friday. I told Mose, "Now if this was snow instead of rain, it would be a blizzard. I came home from work at noon today. There just wasn't anything going on and I have plenty of work here at home to do, that sitting at a desk, twiddling my thumbs just wasn't my cup of tea. Had thought we might be pretty busy today because of it being Veterans Day, but the weather was just too nasty to be out in it if you didn't have to be. This has been a busy summer and fall for us. I spend a month out in Iowa this summer, visiting, etc. Was great to see a lot of the ones I grew up with, worked with at the Sale Barn. Also spent a day in Buchanan County visiting relatives. The high light that day was visiting an uncle I hadn't seen since 1975. (I think) Then the last weekend was a family reunion. Was so good to see everyone again. In September, I made a quick trip to Goshen, IN for my Uncle Willie Yoder's funeral. He was the last one of Mom's sibling to go and I wasn't able to be at any of the other funerals. Dau. Regina & GD Gracie went with me. Then on Oct. 17th our youngest daughter, Sherri got married to James Harris. We had around 200 at the wedding. Only 3 of my siblings were able to come, and 1 nephew. Mose's Mom and siblings were able to be here except for 2 of them. James & Sherri are buying a house and haven't had closing yet, so are staying with his folks for now. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and our church has a Bake Sale the Saturday before, which means 3 days of baking for me. We've been doing it for years, and there are people who come with boxes to put their stuff in. The folks are usually lined up at the door when we unlock it, and the first 20 minutes it's a mad house in there. God Bless, Anna

She has a head full of black hair and favors her Daddy. Mose & I went to the hospital around noon today to see the little cutie. They'll be going home tomorrow. (Still don't know how to get pictures on here. Have to get someone to show me how to do it again. Tonight we were to the veiwing of a friend & neighbor, Sarah Miller. Funeral is tomorrow at 11:00. It's time for bed. God Bless, Anna |

The answer to the BOOM in my post last night was very likely caused by space junk from a Russian rocket that blasted off last Thursday. Well, it scared enough people around here. So the mystery is solved. GOD BLESS Anna

Tonight a little before ten I heard the doors rattle here in the house, then heard a BOOM off in the distance. My only thought was "Wonder what that was? Well, probably will be on the news. Then our youngest daughter called wondering if we heard anything. Where she was at it shook the house and they ran outside to see what was going on. Didn't see anything. In them calling James' family it seem the closer they lived to the ocean front the louder it was. WAVY 10 said they had calls from the Pennisula down into NC and as far west as Suffolk wondering what was going on. There were a couple people out at the ocean front that said they saw an explosion or a ball of fire, or a bright flash in the sky. Nobody had an answer as to what it was yet. Maybe tomorrow. We had some showers of rain today and then sunshine again. The wind is gusty at times. Is in the sixties right now. Had rain last night and must of had some strong gusts with it as there was a big tree down about a mile or 2 up the road that landed just short of the road. We are staying busy, keeping the business going. Doesn't leave much time to get things done at home except on a Saturday. That's usually laundry and whatever else I get done. You all have a great week. GOD BLESS Anna

Tonight we attended our oldest granddaughter's Christmas program. Amanda was an angel and said her part very well. She is in kindergarten at London Bridge Baptist Church School. They have preschool and kindergarten there. Yesterday forenoon we attended our daughter, Beverly's, graduation from ODU with a Bachelors in Science Health (physical therapy). She waiting to see if she'll get into the program at ODU which will start next September, then has 3 more years of schooling. She was the one that didn't like school and couldn't wait to finish high school. Had off one year then decided she's got to do something, so went and got schooling in occupational therapy, then switched to physical, as none of the local colleges have any advance classes in that field. Anyway, she's been going to school, full or part time since the fall of 2002; now will have off until school starts next fall She's to find out by April if she is accepted at ODU. After the graduation Bev & Jimmy's extended families (Those who could) met at Olive Garden and had lunch together. The next weeks will be busy around here. Working full time just doesn't leave much time for anything else. Still have Christmas shopping to do, our family Christmas next Sunday PM & evening, more decorations to put up, and the list goes on & on. You all have a Blessed Christmas Season, praising our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Anna
